Triptych: Bad Luck's Festival Guide
So. Much. Good. Music. With the sun on our backs, festival season is well under way. For the psych lovers, the sonically curious and the late night owls, Bristol’s Triptych on 8th June is probably the one for you. Hosted by Miles Hastings, the mind behind Gravy Train who host some of the most exciting contemporary music in Bristol, Triptych returns for its second year. Hosted across three venues, The Exchange, the Stag and Hounds, and the new drinking spot Elmer’s Arms, the festival has an exciting and unmatchable line up. Here’s some of our favourites.
Heavy hitters Hey Colossus hit Exchange for a late night set of fuzz and head banging goodness, with the distorted disorder of Sex Swing on before. Bristol residents The Evil Usses have an unmatchable perfection to them, whilst up the road at Elmer’s Arms Bristol duo Bad Tracking will be providing a dark and brooding sound, sure to shake the foundations of the bar. If aggressive punk is more your thing, head over to the Stag and Hounds to catch USA Nails who will be sure to bring out the rowdiness in you. Speedy Wunderground alumni Treeboy & Arc might be one of the most exciting bands on the bill, who also play at the Stag and Hounds. More unmissable local talent comes from Lazarus Kane and our favourite sweet hearts Radiators. There will also be DJ sets from The Bristol Germ and The Grey Area amongst others.
