Introducing... Pure Bathing Culture

Slow start to the week? No worries! We have got some lovely new artists to introduce you to. First off, meet Pure Bathing Culture. Pure Bathing Culture have just released their second single from their forthcoming new album, Pray For Rain, out 23rd October. The new single, Palest Pearl, approaches song-writing in an unusual way. The song is based on a poem by Hilda Doolittle, an ealry 20th century feminist writer. Palest Pearl is Pure Bathing Culture's response to a piece by Doolittle.

The peoem reads:

"be indigestible, hard, ungiving so that, living within, you beget, self-out-of-self, selfless, that pearl-of-great-price."

Speaking about the track, Pure Bathing Culture's vocalist Sarah Versprille tells us, "The song is asking the question how far would you be willing to go to and what would you be wiling to lose? For us, there's duality in this theme in the sense that there are good and bad stories of how far people are willing to go in order to achieve their own 'pearl of greatest price'."
